10 Killer Video Marketing Ideas For Real Estate Agents

We all know that we should be using video marketing in our Real Estate Businesses but sometimes we just don’t know where to start and what videos we should be making. 

So today I am going to outline 10 video marketing ideas for real estate agents which I personally use in my own real estate business. These videos will generate you more leads, increase your lead conversion, and help you get more referrals from your database!

Real Estate Relocation Guide Videos

These are the single videos that generate the most number of leads! These types of videos should have content that someone would want to know about when researching your area. So information about things to do such as shopping, parks, areas to live, etc.

An example of this would be my video “Living in Maryland: Pros VS Cons” which ranks on the first page of google for “Living in Maryland” and “Moving to Maryland”. Or my video “10 Things To Know Before Moving To Annapolis” which ranks on the first page of google for “Moving to Annapolis” and ranks #1 on YouTube for just my city’s name, “Annapolis”.

These are the types of real estate videos that will generate you leads fast!

Real Estate Listing Videos

The key with real estate listing videos is that YOU, the agent, need to be in your listing video! If they are just standard, boring videos of an empty house, it really won’t perform very well on any platform, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram.

So get in the video yourself! Give a tour of the home, make it entertaining, and make it fun!

Neighborhood Tour Videos

Neighborhood tours videos are a great way for real estate agents to display their local knowledge and for homebuyers to quickly get a feel for neighborhoods and areas. An effective neighborhood video is surprisingly easy to make and still be valuable.

Film a quick selfie-style intro and outro of you in the community and then record some videos of you driving through it or some drone shots and then add a voice-over of neighborhood stats and local insights.

Make sure to highlight any playground or unique community feature as well. And that’s it. This type of video marketing for real estate agents is very simple to make but also provides tremendous value. You could knock a good community tour video out in a single day.

Real Estate Client Testimonial Videos

Sit the client in front of their home, get a quick video with them at the closing table, or even do a zoom call with them a few weeks after they have moved in. Many of our clients are so grateful after closing they would not just be willing to do a video testimonial, they would be excited to do one! We all know that online reviews may not always be accurate, so having a video review makes it much more authentic and relatable for potential clients.

These types of real estate video marketing won’t be the types people are discovering you from but they will help with your lead conversion after you get them to your website, Facebook page, or YouTube channel.

About Me/Profile Videos

This is one video all real estate agents should be making! Talk about who you are, why you got into real estate, and what kind of experience you will bring to the table. This allows people to get to know you on a personal level and start building that relationship before you ever even talk. Let them see that you are a real human being and they should not be intimidated at all to reach out to you. This type of video marketing for real estate agents will help you convert more leads after they first discover you and play an important part in your video marketing sales funnel.

Real Estate Educational Videos

Talk about the home buying process, how different loans work, how to prepare their home to sell, and what other useful information you want your real estate clients to know before buying or selling a home. Like the “about me” video, this type of video marketing will help you convert your real estate leads by showing your credibility, providing value, and educating your clients.

If I get a new lead, I always find some excuse to send them one of my YouTube videos to start building that relationship with them on a deeper level than just emails or a phone call can do. My real estate educational videos give me leverage because I don’t have to explain the entire home buying process or how the VA Loan works to every first time home buyer I get because I can just send them my videos instead.

Local Restaurant & Business Highlight Videos

This type of video marketing for real estate agents is especially effective on Instagram and Facebook but can also be effective as a YouTube video you email to your database.

Sit down with the owners of your favorite local businesses or restaurants and talk about their business. Overlay your conversation with some b-roll shots of their store and some nice music.

This type of video marketing is also great at building strong relationships with local business owners in the process.

Real Estate Parody or Skit Videos

Change the words of a popular song or make a twist on a popular SNL skit to make it somehow real estate related.

This type of video marketing is especially effective on Facebook and Instagram and can play an important role in your overall video sales funnel.

Again, this type of video helps build that relationship with your audience and allows them to know, like, and trust you before you ever even talk. Get a little creative and have fun with these!

How To Navigate Your Website Videos

This type of video may seem a little boring but that’s ok. Your other videos have done the heavy lifting in building the trust and relationship with your audience and these videos are intended to close the deal and turn your audience into leads.

Maybe show your audience how to set up a property search on your website, how to download your free relocation guide or even where to find the contact form on your website.

This type of video won’t get you a lot of views, but after people discover you from your other video marketing and build the relationship with you from your About Me or Parody videos, they are looking for what the next step will be and if you can simply show how to take the next step, many of them will.

Local Parks & Attraction Tours

If you have any major festivals, cool parks, or unique landmarks in your area, go do a video tour of them for your audience. These types of videos don’t have to be fancy, just a simple vlog style video can do the trick.

For example, I have a park near me that people often find fossils at, so I shot a vlog of my wife and I exploring this park. People who are moving to your area will love having this type of local information and insights available to them and even people who already live in your area may not know about a cool park close by.


Market Update Videos

This is some of the easiest video marketing real estate agents can do. Once a month pull up the information on your local real estate market and make a quick video of you repeating the information and interpreting what it means.

This type of content is not “evergreen content” which means it won’t be all that relevant in a month or two but people will find it very helpful when you make it and this is why you need to do these monthly.

This type of content does well as a Facebook video for your real estate page, and can do well as a YouTube video which you’d email out to your database monthly.
